Doggy daycare in
our Secret Woodland
Four hours in real woodland, run personally by Warren, every day, in every area we cover. Not a unit. Not a warehouse with rubber flooring and a webcam. There’s no building at all.
The woodland
Muntjac deer live out there: shy, secretive animals that only settle where people don’t go, so seeing one tells you what kind of place it is. Pheasants come crashing up out of the bracken. There are streams to splash through and enough space that six dogs and one man disappear entirely into the trees.
The ground holds firm through winter, so your dog isn’t coming home caked in mud in January. In summer there’s enough canopy to spend the afternoon playing in the shade instead of flagging in the heat.

Warren has three young children who love dogs. They can get a group of dogs excited in seconds. There’s no skill in that.
The skill of a good dog walker is controlling the excitement. We keep our dogs at a 3 or 4 on the scale. They can jump up to an 8 to play, and then we bring them back down. So when we meet people on Hampstead Heath, our dogs are calm.
We don’t throw tennis balls either. A ball creates competition, and we don’t want to give dogs a reason not to get on.
Who it really suits

Wrufo
A spaniel we’ve walked for seven years, now on daycare every day. Left at home without a proper outlet he howls. A day in the woodland changes that completely: he comes home and sleeps, and the howling stops.

Roly & Max
Dogs who thrive on company. Roly is the popular kid: everyone wants to play with her. Max leans on one person after another to make sure he’s had his fair share of strokes.

Rum
Not every dog needs to be the wired one. Rum, a red Lab, has a calm, centred energy and walks steadily through it all: proof the group works for quiet dogs too.
“My dog always comes home tired and happy! I tried a few different daycares/dog walkers before deciding to go with this one and couldn’t be happier with the choice.”
